We’re Dan and Don and we’ve been great friends since we met in 2014. Between the two of us we’ve managed to save roughly $500,000 (about $250,000 each) towards retirement in addition to purchasing our own homes in our first 6 years out of college on a government salary. We regularly have coworkers and friends ask us how we do it so we’ve decided to share our insights and recommendations with anyone interested in hearing them! It is possible to live a good life and save for an enjoyable retirement at almost any income level and any lifestyle; one of us is married with a kid and the other is just supporting himself. One studied Economics while the other studied Engineering. One went to a federal university and the other a big state school. The point is, we’ve gotten to where we are by making smart decisions with our money and our time and we want to share those ideas with you as well. We are not financial advisers and have no license to tell you what to do with your money. But we love teaching people about smart money strategies with what’s worked for us and love even more learning new ones to implement ourselves!
